I've experimented a bit with some of the colours used in scientific dyes, in the style of Mondrian (trying to mimic the lines and brush strokes form his painting: 'De Rode Molen' ('The Red Mill')... though I'm not too happy with the results at this point. I'm going to work on it some more, and perhaps try some alternative looks for the animation.
whatever you decide, you need to talk with Simon/Jordan re. how to ensure you're mark-making etc survives the translation into 3D - so ensuring the 'Rachael-ness' of the texturing/art direction survives :)
